Would really appreciate your help finding a diamond.

Ideally looking for
1.5-2ct
SI1 or above (but eyeclean)
Elongated
As sparkly as possible!
Budget- $13,000 USD/$16,000 NZD(I’m unsure on if this budget is feasible so keen for your advice on this too!)
- a jeweller has quoted me $23,000 NZD for a 1.5ct F colour 8.91mm SI2 GIA (including setting) does this seem too much?? It looks slightly milky.

I’m based in NZ

How about this? Vintage elongated ”moval” shape, 8.86mm, absolute bargain!

Don’t settle for anything that looks “milky”! I know you will get some great suggestions here. The Distinctive Gem option is gorgeous and Jon is very nice to work with.

I looked at JA and BN and didn't see much. I'm not sure what ratio you are hoping for when you say "elongated". What kind of
inclusions does the SI2 stone have? Does it say anything on the GIA report under the Comments section?

Adiamor - I* think these may have potential. They are smaller than the 8.91mm stone though. The higher the ratio the
harder it is to find a well-cut oval (in my experience).
