Help with this preowned solitary semi mount

Im in love with this ritani semi mount wondering if the prongs can be fix to take my heirloom modified oec cushion5.2mm? Currently designed to take 1 ct

My guess is no. Obviously, you should speak with a jeweler that has a good bench.

Simplest way might be to use an illusion plate to mount the diamond into, then put that plate into the semimount. See https://www.stuller.com/products/297/43816 Item #: 297:1737:S The plate for a 5.2mm diamond has a 6.7mm outer diameter per the Stuller specs for it.

Or a square version, which Stuller also has a version of. Illusion mountings are a vintage look, and people either love or hate them, it seems. See photo of 1940s ring set.
