Hello,
I found this diamond on b2cjewels : http://www.b2cjewels.com/dd/9771449/Round-Diamond-G-Color-VS1-Clarity

what is your thoughts on this site in general?

Also I requested an IS but it is unavailable. But here are some of the images that the helper gave me.

I am looking for a round ~.7 carat, J+, eye clean clarity diamond with super ideal cuts. Any other recommendations on how I should look for one?

Also, this setting is exactly what I am looking for as well.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I don't love the center of the ASET. Not sure if it's a lighting effect, or has to do with the 33 crown angle.

These are not super-ideal, but they are within GIA ideal parameters. You would need to request an IS (JA does not provide ASET). There is about $200 difference between these and the WF super-ideals for the same spread (size in mm).

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...i-color-si2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-3504446 {6.02 mm, the twinning wisp is very small, but may bother some, fait flour, $2500}

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...i-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-3190179 {5.95 mm, $2610}

EDITED TO ADD: I agree with @ringo865 . The B2C diamond has too much leakage under the table and it will tend to be gray and lack light return. The low crown angle will also tend to make the diamond flatish on top, which some don't care for.

thank you @rockysalamander and @ringo865 ,
So i will look into those one you recommended. What is your guy's review on B2C in general? Should I stick with JA and WF for good quality?

Also mind me asking what parameters do you set when you search for diamonds?

Here's what I use. I think we all have some variation of this based on our preferences.
table: 52-57.5 (but I really prefer under 57)
depth: 60-62.3 {consider 59.5)
crown angle: 34-35.0 (up to 35.5 crown angle can sometimes work with a 40.6 pav angle)
pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41.0 if the crown angle is close to 34)

For GIA excellent stones, I then look at the AGS Proportion Chart to see where they stone would fall in AGS grading as they are more strict (gotta include looking at adjacent grades due to GIA rounding) https://agslab.com/docs/pbcg/AGSLProportionCharts.pdf.

I run some stone through the HCA Tool (result posted by @Matthews1127) to see if the angles are complimentary. The HCA tool includes some assumptions, which includes being pretty harsh on 60/60 diamonds. On HCA, reject anything greater than 2.0 (but 1.0 is not better than 1.0 . But, if you look at super-ideal stones (WF ACA, Brian Gavin Select, GoodOldGold, HighPerformanceDiamonds, etc.), just look at the images and ignore the above process.

To me, these three steps are coarse filters. They narrow the field to those worthy of pursuit and getting an IS (or better yet ASET). It is those images that document performance.

I don't have any opinion based on personal experience on the vendor you inquired about. They seem to have some reasonable stones. I've heard complaints that the diamond you want is not available and they need to offer alternatives...maybe there is lag in their database. From what I can tell, they use setting from big vendors (stuller, roseco, and others) -- nothing wrong with that but I wish they'd just say the vendor as it would tell us more about the setting than the rendering. Just tell me is a Stuller 1145 or whatever.

I use:
Table%: 53-58% (Max)
Depth%: 60-64% (Max)
Crown & Pavilion are the same as @rockysalamander
I like to use the HCA Tool with GIA certed diamonds, and I prefer AGS certed diamonds over GIA certed diamonds when my priority is CUT.
