Help with SI2 crystal inclusion

Hi all,
I am looking to buy a 2.5 carat E SI2 stone as an engagement ring upgrade. My current stone is smaller but VS1 and I am concerned that I will notice the crystal inclusion of the new stone. I’m not able to see it in person before buying and I am a bit of a novice- am I likely to be able to notice this inclusion with the naked eye?

That stone has a huge inclusion in the center! No way would I even consider it. You have to be careful even with SI1s. Are your ordering from a vendor with a return policy?

Thanks so much, definitely a novice here- I was told that it wouldn’t be visible without magnification but was pretty uneasy about not being able to see the stone before purchase.

can you post the certificate? I don't love the cut on this one, PLUS the huge inclusion.

Unfortunately this isn't a well cut stone, which is what I was afraid of based on the image. 36.5 is too steep, 63.2 is deeper than we recommend (and will make the stone look smaller). Are you open to buying from a different vendor, or can you give your jeweler a set of parameters to stick within when finding a stone?

That inclusion will definitely be visible without magnification. Plus it is surrounded by both surface and interior clouds.

That inclusion is large and in a prominent position on the table, I believe it'll be visible to the naked eye.

Ok thanks so much. I’m open to buying from a different vendor. I’m in Melbourne, Australia and would ideally like to see the stone in person. All I really have to compare to is my previous stone which I really like and as an F VS1 I am cautious about going with worse colour or clarity as I’m used to that. Does anyone have any suggestions about vendors here?

Your and partners vision are the main issues here.
I expect you will rarely if ever see it if your minimum focus distance is +15 inches.
If you can focus from less than 12 inches or 30cm then it will annoy you.

In that size range the majority of online SI2 diamonds will have light performance dulling inclusions or greater risk of chipping. Ya gets what ya pays for

That’s going to be noticeable unless you’re visually impaired at many viewing angles. I’d pass on anything with a SI2 on the table, to be honest.

And the professionals can tell me if I’m off base here but a SI2 with one big inclusion versus the ones with lots of small ones have been explained to me as having higher risks of a spreading or radiating crack from a good whack.
