I vote for number 2. Just looks like more thought was put into the design of it. Also, looks more expensive. They both look very similar face up, but the wearer will be viewing it from the side.

Yes its more expensize but negligible.

I leaning towards that one as well.

I also vote for #2. I believe this is the Fine Line setting from Whiteflash? If so, I almost bought this setting for the marquise I bought from Whiteflash, but ended up going with a similar design from a local jeweler that had the stone set a bit higher so a wedding band can sit flush next to the e-ring (more of an issue for a marquise than a round because of the prong angle to support the points of the diamond). I think #2 is more unique than #1, and since the diamond will sit a bit higher off the band on #2, the stone will stand out more and appear larger.

I also like #2. It reminds me of a Mark Morrell setting I really love.

I like #2 better as well because it looks more unique than the other one.

Number 2 is very pretty, graceful, feminine. I vote for #2.

I vote for number 2 also. A little different and feminine. Good luck. Reds

Thanks for all the input.

I think Im going to go with the Second one. There both from Whiteflash. The second one is platinum setting with fine lines.

Next question is.
Has anybody had any problems with 4 prong vs a 6 prong. 6 Prong seems to cover up so much of the stone.

I like #2... Not as common as the first one... It has nice lines and is very classy!

I agree with your point on 6 prongs. I think it covers too much of the diamond, especially on a profile.

#2 as well

#2 and 4 prongs

Number TWO, no doubt to me

From the side it shows so beautifully!

Best of luck, it will be a beautiful diamond ring

4 prongs! Show off that diamond! I would only go with 6 if the woman is really rough with it - my old boss (such a petite woman) was just careless and always banged her ring on everything. She preferred 4 prongs, but knew it was safer for her to go with 6.

I think its going to be choice number 2 with 4 prong.

I think she is going to love it.
