However, the Tacori is $2300 & the one above is $1700. I was trying to find someone who could do something very similar at a little bit less price. Do you think it's possible & attainable?
$1700 sounds pretty low for this type of platinum ring.
It's always possible to find cheaper- but if this ring is going on your finger, do you really want to scrimp exactly where the "rubber meets the road"?
In my experience, the difference between a good setter, and a great setter will make your ring twice as nice.
It's possible to have a one carat stone set for $5 in NYC- or less.
We pay about $35-50 for the same service.Same goes for jewelers and polishers.
When it's my diamond being set, I'd rather have the right people touching it- especially if it's a princess cut!
