Hi can you help me design an engagement ring setting. The ring will have a 1.26 carat round diamond, in platinum.

I'm looking for a classic four prong setting. But I know that there are a few different ways that the band and setting (the but the diamond sits in) can look. I want to know what options I have here.

My girlfriend has really small fingers so she'd like a relatively thin band, no diamonds on the band, and not a knife edge. But that's really the only specs I've got so far.

thanks

Thanks both both responses have been a big help to determine what I like. Lots of nice rings there!

I really like these two:
The Alessandra: https://www.pricescope.com/files/images/dsalessandra.JPG

And the Vatche Caroline:

One difference is that light can enter under the diamond in the vatche, but not inthe Alessandra. Does this make a difference in diamond performance?

I also like this GOG but can the prongs be made any slimmer?

Thanks!

Prongs can be slimmed. That's the setter not the setting usually.

As for light entering diamond. If you get a diamond with ideal light performance the light enters and leaves the diamond through the table/crown so it's okay to block the sides. Even a full Bezel won't darken a stone appreciably.

Those prongs are just wider overall and part of the style of that other Vatche ring. I really like the Caroline, better, but I am a bit partial because my daughter has that ring! The pictures on WhiteFlash show that ring better than the SB picture for some reason.
