Help with replacing sapphire

Hi all, I was ready to purchase this ring and the vendor just found out that the center stone is synthetic. I'm still debating buying the ring (at discount) and replacing the center stone. In your opinion, is this something that's doable? He'll get back to me with the stone dimensions. TIA!
