Help with Princess Diamond Studs

I just stumbled upon this site today, wanted to see if someone could help me out. I'm looking at buying a pair of Princess cut diamond studs for a Christmas gift. I would like something in the range of 1.5 to 2.0 carats. I have only bought diamonds online at Blue Nile so i checked their site out and found this:

Definitely more than I would like to spend. I found this site and checked out the "featured vendors" section and found this pair:

I don't understand how the price varies so much between the 2 pairs. The colors appear to be the only difference. However; Abazias doesn't state the cut so i assume that is where the discrepancy is.
Basically, I'm looking for some advise on where/what to look for. My max would be 4k. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm not sure why the Blue Nile ones are so expensive, other than maybe they have a GIA report?

the only issue with BN and Abazias is that you need to see pictures/aset for princess stone to see how well they are cut. These are earrings, so you prob wouldn't scrutinize the color, clarity, and cut like you would for an Ering, but you also don't want them to be duds.

have you thought about calling Whitflash, BGD, JamesAllen and give them your budget and ask for their help to match two stones?

I haven't; wanted to get some input before I called anyone. Wanted to at least appear to know what I was doing before I made any calls
