Help with old ring

My mother passed away and I have a 'bag' of her old jewelery. I have ID'd all of the pieces except one ring. I'm not sure of the metal, but it's not tarnished and it's been *heavily* worn. I can't see any markings inside of the ring, either. Any pointers on how to ID the period of this ring would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea as I've never seen anything quite like it. It is pretty and I like the flower detail on the sides. Maybe take it to a pawn shop to see if they can ID the metal as a starting point.
