help with halo

Hi everyone, I''m a newbie but have been following (loving) these boards for quite a while. A friend of mine would like to reset a diamond into a halo setting but didn''t know if she could buy a setting with a halo or if it is strictly a custom job. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

a jeweler maker would know this. usually if they have settings that fit your stone size in the inventory then it''s a done deal..otherwise they would have to custom make it. so check with the jeweler maker in the diamond district if you are in NY....otherwise elsewhere jewelers should be able to help you.

I know Whiteflash and Facets (and probably a lot more) have pre-made halo rings for certain shapes. I don''t know how size dependent they are but you can ask them.

James Allen / Dirt Cheap Diamonds also has halo settings here. A little over a year ago, it seemed virtually impossible to find any premade...which is why many of us had to go custom, but now, they''re much easier to find.
