Help with halo melee for 1.5 RB

Hi Everyone.

I''m new pricescope and could really use your help figuring out the design for my ring. I''m going crazy! I have a 1.56 RB diamond (G VS, I believe). I want a very delicate halo ER setting. Even though I have a RB, I would like for the halo to be more of a cushion shape with no space between the halo and center diamond.

I''m stuck working with the person who sold my fiance my diamond. I don''t have a lot of faith in him. Long story, but I am stuck working with him. I found a ring that I love at a local jewelry store and we are trying to copy it. I just can''t seem to get a straight answer from the store as to the size of the melee around the halo and the shank. It''s either 1.3 or 1.5mm.

My jeweler is not able to offer much guidence, so I am turning to you!

To get an idea of what I''m talking about, I LOVE MMM''s ring. I would love to replicate it, but with a single row halo instead of a double. I also love Winnie''s, luvmyhalo''s (even though she swamped it out), lesco''s and heb1976.

My finger size is just shy of 5 (I have rather long, thin fingers).

Please help me figure out what size stones! Would you do smaller around the halo with slightly larger stone on the shank since I have long fingers?

Thanks, cindygenit. Would you do 1 pointers on the shank, too? I''m leaning towards doing 1 pointers on the halo and 1.5 pointers on the shank. Will that look proportionate?

Yeap i would do 1.5 pointers on the shank.

If you like super delicate rings though, one pointers on the shank would give you a 2 mm width.The delicate halo and the thin shank will make your diamond look bigger.

However the 1.5 pointers will give better proportions. Yourring will be a stunner for sure!
