Help with Fancy Dark Gray Diamonds

I would appreciate any and all help on deciding between these two Fancy Dark Grey diamonds on BlueNile.

I have already purchased the 1.5 carat and I put the 2 carat on hold. My dilemma: the 1.5 carat *looks* a lot cooler, which is what I want. I’m not sure if the faint fluorescence helps with this or if it’s just different lighting conditions. The backgrounds in both photos look the same. However, it’s smaller and it has the dreaded “clarity based on clouds not shown” comment in the GIA report. Normally, I would steer clear, but I’m not seeing any haziness at all and when looking at other fancy grays with this comment, I DO clearly see haziness.

The 2 carat is larger, but is too deep and therefore looks much smaller than a 2 carat, based on Diamond Database. Additionally, the color appears much warmer, almost yellowy/browny, but the report makes no mention of other colors. Also an SI1 with no comments on being based on clouds not shown.

@Karl_K @tyty333 I'm so sorry to summon you guys! You both were a huge help finding my 3.5 carat emerald cut, so I'm curious what your advice is (if you have any) for these fancy dark gray diamonds, please!

Thank you so much, @Karl_K! I will drop the other one for now. It just doesn't sing to me like the 1.5, so maybe I will hold off if the 1.5 doesn't end up working out. But, I wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy for ordering an SI1 with the "Clarity based on clouds not shown" comment.

I have a fancy gray SI with the same comments about clouds not shown and I love it. In specific lighting at the right angle I can see a haze but it really doesn’t bother me at all given the color. Hope you love the pear you chose! Would love to see photos !

Fiiiiiinnnnnaaaaallllyyyyy 3.11 ct GIA graded Fancy Grey set in a rose gold and Tahitian Mother of Pearl pin/pendant setting. I love that the changing fire of the diamond plays with the changing iridescence of the pearl.
