Hi learned gurus, I'm in over my depth and am hoping for some help!

I'm looking for an eye clean lab grown round brilliant stone to go in a platinum solitaire engagement ring. Having a nice amount of fire/sparkle is important so (and this is where the lack of knowledge comes to the fore) I've been looking at James Allen's true hearts stones to guarantee that but perhaps there might be better options?

Also noteworthy is I'm in Australia so I'm going to have import taxes to pay; I'm looking at a budget of about $8k (AUD) on the stone.

I did see this one but am definitely open to suggestions.

Finally, any thoughts on the ring quality from James Allen?

Regards and thanks in advance for any help proffered!

Here are some other options from the True Hearts line you could take a look at.

I don't have personal experience with James Allen settings, but if you search the threads, I think many people have been happy with them. What kind of solitaire style are you looking for?

Thanks so much Kim, I'll definitely have a look!

The setting will be a 4 prong knife edge.

How big do you want the solitaire?

Couple of knife edge options:

Hi DejaWiz

The knife edge options look very much what I had in mind, thank you!

Re size of the solitaire, somewhere in the 1.6-1.8 range, if that's feasible for my budget?

No worries, Kim N posted some beautiful options in that size range.

Here are a few more to add to your overall list of possibilities:

I also really like this one in your budget.

You two are amazing, thanks so much for the suggestions!

Asking from ignorance, is there anything specifically about this one which makes you really like it, Kim? (from my limited knowledge it does look fantastic! ) Or is it just the overall combination?

It's the combination of great proportions and light return, table on the smaller side (though this is totally personal preference), and arrow size is very pleasing to the eye. It also seems to be a very clean VS2, which I noticed is not always the case with IGI grading.

Ah very helpful, thank you!
