Hi everyone! So I basically know what I''m looking for. SI2, H, best cut, and 1-1.5 carat round solitaire ring. I''ve looked on here for some time and advice, but can someone please advise what the prices should be for this range? By best cut, I mean the holloway cut adviser and not some "excellent cut" GIA BS that is not really that good of a cut. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

you can take a look at prices from some reputable PS vendors using the cut search tool to get a starting idea... but if you''re looking at B&M stores, expect to pay 10-20% more than that...

I used the tool for you and came up with $5 - $5850 for stones between 1 - 1.25
This was the pretties SI2 I saw in that batch for $5818

In the 1.25 - 1.5 range I had to go up to an SI1 to find a stone that matched. Here it is at $7178

(for the price difference I think I would take the first one - but thats just from a quick look)

If you go down to an I color SI1 clarity you can find a lot more in the 1.25 - 1.5 range
from between $6640 - $6909

Here is the nicest one I saw in that range...actually there are three I thought looked nice
http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/5634/ 1.29 $6909

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2176278.htm 1.31 $6664

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2192309.htm 1.3 $6609

- this was just a quick look and not a full evaluation! Further review would be needed to make
sure they were acceptable and to determine which stone is actually the best.)

That is a very impressive SI2 from the pics!

OP I think if you want and SI2 you need to call the vendors and tell them your specs and see what they have in the eye clean range. I''d call WF, GOG, BGD, and JA. It is a little complicated to judge SI2s by pictures, so it would save time to just call and say Waddaya got that is eye clean (to whatever your standards are).
