My girlfriend loves the look of elongated cushions and after a lot of searching and narrowing down on Ritani she ended up with these four diamonds:
Diamond 1 - 3.34 ct, F, VS1
Diamond 2 - 3.24 ct, F, VS1
Diamond 3 - 3.27 ct, G, VS1
Diamond 4 - 3.18 ct, G, VS1
She originally loved the antique cuts but once she saw some in person decided she likes the modern brilliant cuts better. I do think she'd prefer to stay away from crushed ice though.
Are any of the four choices above better or worse? I've heard that elongated cuts can get a bow-tie effect but I don't have the eye to spot that in the videos. I do think she'd be open to other options in the elongated 3-4 ct range and I'll probably wait until after Valentine's day before making any purchase in case prices go down. I've noticed a lot of variation in prices for similar specs so if we could get a good diamond for cheaper than these four, that would be great.
Budget is $5,000 but I think 4 ct would be the max size we're looking at and she likes ratios of 1.20-1.25.
