Hi!
Have a question about this diamond from Tiffanys (yes I know I can get a bigger, better and cheaper diamond elsewhere but thats not what I am asking for).
Because its from Tiffanys I cant get an idealscope image etc.

carat: 0.56
Fluorescence: none
Table: 59 %
Total depth: 60.1 %
crown angle: 33.9
pavillion angle: 41.1
pavillion depth: 43.5 %
girdle: medium
culet: none

Tiffany has graded the diamond as excellent in cut, polish and symmetry. In the HCA it scores either 2.4 or 1.8 depenting on if I put the pavillion angle or pavillion depth.
Which way is right of doing it? What do you experts think of this diamond? Its on hold only until tomorrow so have to make my mind up today.
Thankfull for all help I can get.

Culet is suppose to be pointed.

angles is more accurate.

Hi TD and welcome!

Angles are preferable when using the HCA rather than pavilion depth. The stone has definite potential, have you seen it in person?

A "pointed" culet is the same as a "none" culet. Tiffany selects or has cut diamonds to their particular range of specifications in order to have a certain Tiffany look" to their selection of diamonds. If you like their approach the HCA is not important for this purchase. The HCA indicates that the "Tiffany look" is probably present in this diamond. There are many beautiful choices, incuding the Tiffany choice. Not all fit exactly into the "ideal" standards, but few would be critical of such diamonds for beauty and durability.
