Hi everyone,
1.12 G VVS1 with med blue flourescence: https://www.briangavindiamonds.com/...-12-g-vvs1-brian-gavin-blue-round#all-details
1.32 G VS1 with med blue flourescence: https://www.briangavindiamonds.com/...roducts/1-32-g-vs1-black-by-brian-gavin-round
I'm still wavering between these 2 diamonds, and was wondering if I could get some opinions on which would be the better choice. I am currently leaning towards the 1.32 G, but I'm just a bit worried about what looks like some internal graining in the magnified 'Office' video of the diamond, as I've heard that fluorescence + graining can lead to haziness. I reached out to BG and was told that the main cloud inclusion is concentrated and doesn't cause any cloudiness, and that the fluorescence shouldn't cause any negative effects, but from a previous post I've made, Garry H said that "even moderate graining in my experience will result in haziness when the diamond is viewed in light with a UV content. " So I'm still a bit worried that the graining may cause haziness in combination with the fluorescence and I'm still a bit torn between the 2 diamonds, which both have medium blue fluorescence.
The 1.12 G doesn't seem to have any graining and has a higher clarity of VVS1, but I'm guessing that the difference between VS1 and VVS1 shouldn't be visible to the unaided eye?
Which diamond would you pick, and why?
I was also wondering if anyone has any settings, or knows of any settings similar to this one from Lang Antiques? Any pictures or ideas are welcome!
I love the organic look and how the yellow gold flows and looks like molten gold.
If I wanted to make something similar, can you please recommend some vendors that would be up to the task? My budget is around 1500-2500 USD.
Would I have to go completely hand-forged for this look, or would casting work?
Thank you!
