Help with center stone

Had my eyes set on a smaller center stone for double around .5 but the future misses prefers something larger and we compromised for .7-.8 range. All are under 3 on the HCA and would fit in the AGS 0 parameters

I am purchasing both the ring and center stone from blue nile. I am torn between the different stones and trying to decide between the smaller or larger tables. I also looked at fluoro because of budget and looking at J colors. How does a 54 table compare to a 56 and or a 58?

Its been real hard to see stones with those exact specifications in person. I know that a smaller table has more fire which means more colors which is what the misses likes. Is 54 too small, because I know 58 does bring more white light so perhaps 56 is a better compromise?

I looked at the fluro in hopes of making the stone a bit whiter since I am looking at a J. I already contacted blue nile and the fluro stones are considered non hazy.

I was all set to buy a smaller center, but now I am back to the drawing board.

James Allen is competitively priced, and will get you ASET/IS images on up to 3 stones. That way, you're not solely relying on a GIA excellent grade or BN's self-graded "Ideal".

How did you get crown and pavillion angles for these BN stones to calculate on HCA? Did you ask them directly?

I agree with GS... JA is hard to beat, and they have images of the actual stone, so that you can see the inclusions IRL. There are also other vendors that are trusted on PS that can work wonders on a budget. Would you mind telling us what the budget is?

Well, if I had to fly blind like that, I'd go with the 0.71ct I SI1 with strong blue fluorescence. 1.4 HCA and it's the whiter I color. I wouldn't read too much into table %, especially when they're all 58 and under. It's only one factor of many.

Have you verified all the SI1's are eye clean?

duet halo pave engagement ring with round center in a cushion halo. I wouldn't mind going custom, with a vendor like ERD or ID jewelry or whiteflash, but their price quotes are too high for my budget. Nothing on James Allen setting wise caught my fiancee's eye, because I am pretty much looking for a tiffany soleste style replica. ERD has some great custom examples on their website, but they never responded to my email. My budget is approx $22-2500 for the setting and with the center diamond included $4-4100 including tax. I would be open to a cushion center cushion double halo but then that cushion would need to be in .7+ range to be worth it.
