I never quite trust myself with a CAD. While I can envision the ring in my mind, it just doesn’t translate to a CAD.
So lovely Pricescopers, I would love your opinions.
This is the first CAD and we are in the very early stages:)
My biggest questions are if the side stones are low enough/high enough. Are they, should the be leaning outwards.
My other question is where the shank meets the side stones gallery, does that flow? Could it be more ornate- or is that too busy.
The middle stone is 1.50, the side stones are .70 and .75. The middle bezel will have very delicate double milgrain, the side stones will have very delicate single milgrain.
The swags in the gallery will be what I think they call beading.
I do have a diamond wedding band that will sit flush to the ring. I will include a photo of that too.
Thanks in advance for your help!E7C754CD-648E-4EB1-9583-A9C01EC9E92E.jpeg497A5F90-39A8-49F2-9B53-AEF8C4D72C06.jpeg

I don’t think your band will set flush with this three stone, as you say it should?. The base of the three stone juts out from the shank and will prevent flush sitting, will have a small gap. If you get it changed for flush sitting, I think for to be certain the wedding band stones don’t eat into the three stone metal- you’ll might have to send DK the wedding band to scan and plan the cad accordingly, or get a thin spacer?

to give ideas on whether the side stones are low enough/high enough -
can you show some side shots of three stone profile inspiration pictures to know what you want it look like? That’s better than random suggestions I think?

I wouldn’t start thinking about changing/tweaking the shoulders or making more ornate features until the side stone low enough/high enough is figured out.

This is going to be a beauty of a ring!!!
can I guess AVC’s?

I would remove the inner part of the outer stone bezels

@Rfisher I was hoping you would respond:) Thank you!
As soon as the side stones arrive I will send David everything. If the wedding band can't sit flush, I will live without it. It's a Michael B. It's very nice. I still like it after many years of not wearing it. I figured if I ever wanted to wear the 3 stone as a wedding set, this would be a beautiful band.
I never feel like I have enough finger real estate, so I would prefer no band as opposed to a spacer and the band.

I think my problem with photo's to show if it's high or low enough is that the 3 stone rings that I love are prong set, not bezel. So am I just fantasizing lol! I love the lower side stones, turning outward. Perhaps that's not realistic with bezels. I will post some photo's of what I like. Not necessarily what will work ;)

Ok, I will wait on the shoulders until if figure out the side stone part is figured out. That makes sense.

Thank you!
Yes, you can guess and as always you have guessed correctly!

Here are some or the profiles of 3 stones that I like. As I said, I’m not at all certain these are even possibilities. I like number 1, though to my eye the side stones are a lot smaller than the center stone. I don't think mine has that large of a difference in stone sizes.

I like number 6. I like that the shoulders curve into the side stones.

The ring will be platinum and will be high polished, no engraving.

I would not remove the inner bezel between the stones either. DK can make the bezels on the sides very thin, even with milgrain. The yellow gold ring above is mine, and our fingers are the same size, but your stones, especially the sides, are much larger than mine. I think if I were you, I'd ask DK for a plastic model before approving the CAD to make sure that the sides are tilted down towards the shank enough so as not to appear "flat" on your finger, but to follow the curve and still be comfortable and not rub against the neighboring fingers. Lowering them a bit might help with that too. I like #6 as well for the way the shank meets the stones and I think yours could be tweaked to be more like that.
I can't wait to see your finished ring. I think it will be beautiful.

I am not a good cad reader either, but in many of your examples the center looks much higher than the side stones (to my eye anyway - but others are better at interpreting cads). Is the center also an AVR diamond?! I know that the side stones are those lovelies that you snagged. Curious cats want to know!

It sounds like you just need to raise the center a bit more, maybe tilt the sides down a smidge, and ask to have the shank raised up a bit more as it meets the side stone galleries?

@Lookinagain you have fabulous taste!!!! Your ring had a lot to do with why I am doing this in the first place! I am a prong girl at heart, but I want something I can wear and feel more comfortable about not wrecking my ring lol. How to do that and still have a beautiful ring? Look at your ring and know with out a doubt it is more that possible!!! Thank you! I will get a plastic mold. I don't want the sides flat and I do not want them rubbing against my neighboring fingers! You said that well- thanks!
Yes, I think they need to be lowered just a bit. I like the shoulders on number 6 too.

Thank you!! You have been a tremendous help!!!! An inspiration as well!!!

@Rfisher you Never cease to amaze me! Ever!!! It is bottom right corner for me all the way!!!! That is amazing that you could do all of that! Which one is your favorite? Thank you so much for doing this! You are priceless doing this for so many Pricescopers. I am so thankful and appreciate you doing this for me- so many times!!! I don't know what I would do without you! The best part, you always make me laugh! Talented and funny! You are the whole package :) Thanks!

@Mreader How are you enjoying your gorgeous new oec? It is beautiful and I love it!!! The center is an AVC! I did snag those- that was pretty much a miracle! I am over the moon that I was able to get them! I love that I have the 1 2 1 proportions!
I agree the center does look a bit higher in most of my choices. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it.

@rainydaze Can I just say I have loved your ring in your avatar forever. It is beautiful.

You said that so well and wrapped it up in a pretty little package:) That is exactly what I will say along with Rfisher's cad. I always seem to use way too many words when I explain things. Thank you for making it to the point, short and sweet! Thanks!

Ok, middle bottom side stone's and bottom right shoulders. That's what I want! I hope those 2 features can blend together!

Why thank you!! That is so nice to hear, it made my day!!

I had to chuckle at your response - it has been my lifelong struggle - er, challenge - to get to the point! I 100% relate to what you said about always seeming to use too many words. I am so happy that my efforts have paid off, here at least, and I was successful!

Another thing I do is get so focused on the point I am trying to make, and packaging it concisely and comprehensibly, that I forget other important elements... such as I am really excited about your ring! I love the design. It is going to be amazing and I cannot wait to see the finished piece!

You’re welcome! I’m happy to hear I made your day!!

I would say you were very successful! It is a life long struggle for me too unfortunately. I really don’t care for the fact that it happens not only when I write but when I talk! I need to make more of an effort! You are inspiring me- thank you!

We have a lot in common I see.
Thank you so much for your lovely compliments and your wonderful (and short:) advice!

Have a fabulous weekend!!!

I can't wait to see it :) And yes I am looooooving my new OEC. It's what dreams are made of!

This is going to be GORGEOUS!! I love the 121 ratio and the little scallops on the gallery, the curve and making sure it doesn't rub neighboring fingers. I like the idea to be able to wear your beautiful band. I'm sure DK can make it flush for you. I'm excited for you!

Thank you! It is most definitely what dreams are made of! Gorgeous! So happy for you!!!

Thank you @bling_dream19 I think David can do it so it will sit flush. But only if I don’t have say a donut or 3 lol!
I’m sure it will work out! Thanks for all of your help! I am still loving your beautiful 3 stone! Those avc’s are stunning!

This is going to be gorgeous!! I am so happy but jealous that you snagged those AVC side stones!! You lucky ducky. I love milgrain and beading, can't wait to see the finish ring!

@Diamondbug thank you! Oh if I could have done prongs I would have been begging to have my ring done exactly like yours!!! I wouldn't have, but I would have wanted to:) It is beyond gorgeous!!!
Had there been 50 of those side stones they would have all been gone in a flash! Indeed I was a lucky ducky that day. I think I used up all my luck on those!

I love milgrain and I'm sure I will love beading too. Thank you so much!

Did I mention I love your ring:) If you knew how often I looked at it you would laugh!!!! I love it!!!!

Thank you!!! You are so kind. I love it too!! Your ring though has the stone ratio that I wanted in my side stones but I couldn't find AVCs in those sizes so I am soooo excited to see your ring! You are going to love all the pastel colors and fire bombs of the AVCs. Waiting is going to kill me!!
