Hi everyone!

I am a colored stone person and I am not well versed in diamonds, particularly not colorless ones.

I was wondering if this stone has any off color tints, like gray, brown, yellow, blue…

It has a GIA report stating that it is an E color and the report does not indicate any brown or anything.

I have attached a loupe360 video and my own video in cool toned indoor lighting.

To the experienced eyes of PS, does this diamond have any tinting or any kind and does it look like how an E colored diamond “should” look?

Thank you!

Can you clean it and take a video in natural indirect lighting?

Also curious if you paid the price listed on the website bc it is high for lab stones these days.

I think the loupe360 video looks fine. At that size the facets are big enough that every single bit of color around you get reflected and is visible to the eye. To check for odd tints you’ll need to surround it with as much white as possible to avoid color reflections from the environment.

@0-0-0 thank you. Would taking a video on white paper outside in indirect sunlight be a good way to gauge any tinting?

I see no blue nuance or any off color tints.

I find indirect diffused sunlight indoors around noon most helpful. It’s hard to control for color and lighting outside.

As a point of reference these are E/F/G colors with blue nuance:
E
F
G

Here are some videos. The first is in indoor cool lighting and the second two are in natural shaded lighting against white paper

I’m not an expert on lab stones and the weird tints but this looks like the natural diamonds I have owned! A nice cut to boot.

What are you going to do with this humongous rock?

Hi @Dreamer_D it’s going to be an engagement ring. I’ve been through a very rough divorce and I’m thrilled to be getting married to an amazing man!

Well if this isn't an amazing way to celebrate new beginnings I don't know what is!! :kiss2: How will you set it? I guess being from colored gems you are more used to very large gems.
