Help with a quick decision

First off, this site is a great resource, thank you to all who contribute on here. I found the site about a week ago, and though I wish I''d found it sooner, I''ve learned a great deal.

I''m hoping to have a ring by this Friday, so I need to make a decision in the next couple of days. Because I don''t feel confident enough (and don''t have time) to search for a bargain, I''ve been looking at the branded ideal cuts. My budget is around $4000 and I''m only looking at vendors with an upgrade policy. These two initially caught my eye:

These are a little bit under by budget, so I wouldn''t mind jumping up in size to around one carat and sacrificing color/clarity if the diamond performs the same and is close to my budget. However, it seems like stones in this "sweet spot" are hard to find. Do you think I would be well served to try and find an off-brand stone a little bit bigger, or should I stick with one of the two above which seem like a sure thing?

Depends on what you want - if you want a H&A stone these two are beautiful specimens

If you want an excellent performer without paying the H&A premium that''s also doable.

I was really just using H&A as an easy filter for a great cut. If I can get similar perforamance without H&A I''m all for it, I''m just not sure what to look for. I''m also limited to in-house stones so that the vendor can ship it to me this week.
