Hmmm...personally, I would not pick the 1.51 F SI1 due to the leakage under the table. Also, I probably wouldn't go with an I color stone b/c that's what I had initially and the warmth bugged me a little bit. If you are OK with an I color, then the 1.7 looks good to me. I would try to find a 1.6 ct H VS2/SI1, if you can find one.

Just wanted to know your thoughts of the 2 and what you think would be a better choice of the 2 round expert selection loose diamond. Keep in mind that i would be putting this in a platinum setting with pave F/G diamond melee.

Thanks! :wavey:

I'd get a hold of Bob Hoskins at WF, he is really patient and friendly and can talk to you about why a particular ES didn't obtain the ACA brand level specifically.

That F could be okay the leakage seen in the IS is not seen in the ASET, which means either the diamond was tilted when the IS was taken, or there is some artifact in the IS image. The images of that stone are either tilted or the stone has stronger assymetry than most at this cut quality. Slightly deeper pavilion but looks to be accomodated by slightly longer lower girdles.

I'd be inclined ask about this one http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2336874.htm find out if its eye clean to your standard.

Bob could do a final lineup and help you choose the best for your budget. For judging color you really should go to jewelry stores and look at I and H color in different lighting (window, under a table, from the side etc.) to see how sensisitive the wearer is.

Good-luck,
CCL

I would go with the 1.7 if you are ok with the color (I would be). The ideal scope image looks better than the 1.5 and its
bigger.

1.7 all the way!

I'm not bothered by I color with a round, particularly one that is well cut. It should face up without any tinge. I think the only way you would see the difference in color is if you had both face down in flat florescent lighting (which you would never do once it was set).

The cut can't get perceptibly better than what you've got in both stones. Both are amazing, but the 1.7 is bigger!
