help! what size halo?

I really love the look of the round halo engagement rings and was looking to get one custom made. I like the proportions of the Ritani Endless Love ring. I have small fingers and I don''t want the ring to look gargantuous (although some may argue that there is no such thing as too big!!!)...so i was thinking about having a 0.5 carat center stone. What size diamonds should the pave in the halo be? I saw a lot of 1 carat rounds with 1 point melee in the halo.....but i think that may be too big for a 0.5 center. Would a 0.005 carat pave halo (approx 1mm) be okay? Or would the bezel setting "eat up" stones that small?
