Do you have crown & pavillion angles for the second diamond?

I''m not a diamond expert. But I think you can find a better cut stone that''s even bigger and a better price. Look at these, also from Whiteflash:

diamond 1

diamond 2

diamond 3

Personally I think of these diamonds I like #3 the best. If you''re not comfortable with J color diamonds then it may not work for you. But talk to Whiteflash and ask them if it faces up white. Also look here on PS for J color diamonds. They look good to me! But the important thing is that it looks good to you.

Also you should poke around here and learn about crown and pavillion angles. Go to the tutorials section and also search for old threads here. There''s a wealth of knowledge! And I think it''s fun to learn about

#1 may be a nice guy, but not by those numbers... and if some other comparable choice comes with either promising stats or at least as good cut grades by other means, or both... why not.

The accompanying pictures don't look show anything very, very bad... but not great either. It is quite obvious why WF priced this lower than other 1.5cts G/VS on their list

About #2 nothing much to say before some sort of cut quality measure is given.

My 2c

no angles on the website, i''m trying to get it from them.... the diamond (#2) is classified in their "ideal" catagory.

Well, it looks like something gotta give to keep H/VS2 and get cut tops too... Giving up on that extra notch of cut quality may be a choice as well.

Other choices read I-VS1, H-Si1 or 0.42cts G-VS2, AGS0. Since the size difference between this one and the two you have initially posted is not all that much (7.3 to 7.2mm...), and the light performance and proportions grades for his one come tops - I thought I''d mention.

WF lists it as well, but the link to their website for this stone is dead. I picked up the same from a seller''s site where a copy of the lab report if given. Others list it too - at this point, choosing a seller is up to you. This post is just about the stone.

Just an idea.

No stats, no cut grade...

At least that's what came to be common practice. And not for happy reasons - it happens to see diamonds listed all over the Net with cut grades assigned after the weather forecast or rolling dice... or some other equally reliable prediction. Good for those folk - they only throw a word out of the hat ('ideal', 'excellent', 'fantastic!) hoping a buyer would believe that is the same with the slightly more pricey diamonds with 'paper' around the corner. What could be better than free riding ?

Instant bargain - for the seller that is.

So when cut grading is taken seriously, there is some demonstration available. At WF of all places, this is taken seriously

... this for.

Well I can say for sure I would not want to buy #1 (I think that you are wasting money with anything less than an ideal cut)
The jury is still out on #2

If you like Wightflash, I would stick to their "Round Ideal Cut" in the Expert Selection. I think all would agree that pretty much any diamond out of there will be fantastic.

good luck
