Hello,

I've been lurking these forums, and I'm currently looking to find someone who can replicate Harry Winston's style with this ring:
http://www.harrywinston.com/en/one-round-brilliant-diamond-micropav%C3%A9-engagement-ring

I fell in love with how delicate and thin the band looked, but my budget is in the 6.5 k range. I'm planning to pair it with a smaller diamond between .40-.5 ct. & so far, I've read that Steven Kirsch, Leon Mege, and Mark Turnowski are the best options for mimicking Harry Winston's style. I'm leaning towards Mark or Leon since I'm in NYC, but I'd really appreciate any further advice differentiating between the three. Also, any tips on where to pick out a diamond would be appreciated as well!

Cheers!

For your budget Mark is really the only option. The setting is going to be about $3000 in platinum. Steven is in NY and so is Leon but both will run you 4500 or so for the setting. And that's not a good allocation of your budget. Mark will get you a fabulous ring, in platinum, for a much better price for your budget.

Since your budget is in the $6500 range. That leaves you $3500 for the stone. I strongly recommend you get around a 5.8-6mm stone.

https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Round/GIA-Certified-0-75-Carat-H-Color-VS2-Clarity-Diamond-DPCLDM This would be perfect. I'd advise you to put it on hold or just buy it outright. It's a perfect choice with great numbers and a perfect IS and a great ASET.

Or this one, ask if the stone was tilted in when the pictures and the IS and ASET: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Round/GIA-Certified-0-75-Carat-G-Color-VVS2-Clarity-Diamond-A96SSR

Thanks so much Gypsy! I really appreciate all the advice and the diamond suggestions (the first one is already sold! Crazy). I am curious to know why you strongly suggest a 5.8-6mm stone? Otherwise, I've followed your advice and setup an appointment with Mark. Really appreciate it.

Anything smaller will look like a cluster ring. Not the look you want.

Also tell mark you want 1/2 pointers as the melee stones in the halo.
