To the Expert PSers here who have done custom work...
This post and @CharlotteYork 's york has got me wondering....
Why can't the vendors make an exact copy of the Tiffany e-ring? Is it that really complex to make?
I see many replicas, but never an exact copy (and there is no copyright issue with this ring as it is a common design and not "unique" as defined by jewelry copyright laws). I would think with all the high demand for this setting, a vendor would actually buy a real Tiffany real, load all the exact measurements into their CAD system and adjust as the diamond size goes up or down. I know there are some vendors who refuse to make a "copy", but for the vendors who do, why can they not make an exact one upon request. n
Am I simplifying this too much? If there are any experts out there who can provide insight, that would be great! Thanks.
