Hi there,

I need you advices to choose between 2 diamands : 0.91 & 1.04 carat.

I attached to you 2 pdf files with all the caracterstics (GIA - HCA - link to JA website - pictures - price)

The prices are similar... but the difference (without the carat...) are :

1) 1.04 is an SI1 - but a good one, we don't see anything. Are you okay ?
2) 1.04 is an G color vs E for the 0.91. But it's to put on an pink gold ring, so i think iti's not a problem. Are you okay ?
3) 1.04 has somes clouds and surface graining (GIA report) - But i don't see on the pics. What do you think ?
4) On the front view : the arrows (sharp outline - super deep black color) are better ont the 0.91 than on the 1.04. What do you think ?

In general, for me the points 1 & 2 are not a problem. Point 3 & 4 worries me if i choose the 1.04 cause i'm afraid that the diamond seems less brillant ...

Please help me to choose :-) !

Thanks for your help and have a good day.

I forgot to precise :

5) The girdle is thicker on the 1.04 ! I think the ideal cut is "thin-medium" like on the 0.91 ! On the 1.04 it's slighly thick...

The files don’t open.

The 1.04 has a clarity grade based on clouds not shown - I would avoid this one. Colour G is generally a good target though and should look very white.

The 0.91 looks better to me, though you’re probably paying slightly for a higher clarity and colour than you may need (I cant see the price as it says unavailable, but if it’s close to the price of the 1.04 it looks like a good deal).

I had a 0.9 and a 1.04 next to each other with generally similar proportions... I could only just see the slight size difference and only because they were right next to each other.

"Clarity grade based on clouds not shown " is a deal breaker for me in SI1 or lower clarity.

So, then you advice me to choose the 0.91 ?

Just a point of information. Thin to Slightly Thick is acceptable for an AGS Ideal. The GIA top grade is Excellent, which also accepts a Thin to Slightly Thick girdle.

Wink

I see nothing better about the 1.04.

I plugged in the numbers. When compared, you can see there is very little difference in size. I would go with the smaller crisper stone.88B44B50-7C0D-4BCE-BC93-3E2FFA8838C9.png
