Not hard to figure out the vendor based on the info you gave so i found the pics. Both are beautiful stones but since we are being picky i do not care for the crystal on the table of the first one.

how do you plan to set it?

The numbers on both are good so unless you have something else to offer us as far as info it would be tough for us to tell you what we think
(besides they both look good from the numbers you gave us).

Put them on hold and post links or post pictures.

I agree with @tyty333. They are basically similar, so if @farrahlyn sees a crystal that would convince me to lean to the 1.04.

I want to set it on a 2mm pave platinum band.
the one I chose (Vatche 1533 Charis Pave ) i noticed has a design around the diamond, would that affect the light that goes into the diamond? i originally wanted the lauren b design and decided against it because i didnt want to lose any brilliance etc any opinions on that?
ill also attach the lauren b style and the band on whiteflash i chose.

The size difference on the two stones is minute, right at 2%. If you put them side by side i doubt you'd be able to tell them apart. Even though the specs are the same, price on diamond rough varies so even if you found two stones with the exact specs and size, they would likely vary in price.

As far as the setting, i think you're overthinking! Go with what you like, there is still plenty of area for light play. Seems like you prefer a non cathedral setting but did you see these two on WF? They are not really a collar like the Lauren B setting but i like it better because it's less likely to cause issue with wearing a wedding band, especially if you go with a diamond band.

Vatche Saran No need for a spacer if you go with a diamond wedding band.

Vatche Elena (Probably would need a spacer if you wear a band with diamonds due to the stones on the stems)

non cathedral setting this is more similar to the Lauren B but the collar is set lower, would need a spacer if you go with a wedding band with diamonds

I just have to bring out the wedding band issue.... i didn't really think through my setting and wearing a band with it and i had a hard time finding a band i like!
