Help! Still can't decide between 2 diamonds

Almost an impossible decision for me. These two RB diamonds look so much alike. Depending on lighting, one or the other looks larger, has more color, has more flash. There does not seem to be "better", just different. So I'm trying to make the decision based on numbers.

You don't find yourself drawn to one over the other?

You may be at the flip a coin point. With the info you have provide *I* would probably
take #2 because I like smaller tables.

thanks! I am drawn to both : )
I posted photos once before, but here are more. Funny how it is impossible to get a photo of what diamonds really look like.
One came from a sale & was a good deal and the other was purchased new. I am trying to keep cost out of the consideration.
I guess one looks bigger than the other because the setting is a little higher, and both have H&A, but only shows up stronger in one stone in photographs, perhaps because that table is larger.

I'm having fun with this small problem and I appreciate your input.
Coin flip may be the decider!

Do you have crown/pavilion angles on the stones? They do in fact look very similar. Does the color difference between D and E factor in?

Tell us what you are going to do with these!

#1 crown 34.5
pavilion 41.0

#2 crown 34.0
pavilion 40.8

not sure what you mean by color factoring in? do you mean does is mean something to me to have a D?

ideas for them:
keep both--- wear as stacking rings or
make earrings [but I already have studs I hardly ever wear]
or eventually use them as side stones in some distant future when I Must Have More Bling per square inch.

more practical---
exchange both for $$ for the next diamond
keep one and get $$ for the other.

funny thing happened today - I was cruising the local B&M and asked the owner which one she would choose. She said she thought they were Mossinite [sp?] and wanted to test them because they were too fiery to be diamonds. I had to explain the quality and the GIA certification. Yes, the are really diamonds and they are the kind of stones you buy after visiting Pricescope a lot!

If you own them both outright, I'd keep them! They are beautiful stones and could be used for earrings or a great three stone ring. I truly don't know how you'd choose one from the other.

Glad you were able to set that saleswoman straight - what a hoot!!

for goodness saake buy a honker center stone and make 3 stone ring or dangle studs ..Maybe you don't wear your earrings cause you need another style.

You two are very dangerous people...and obviously brilliant problem solvers!
...off to look at honker centers :appl:

I'm going with the TOP ONE in the last picture. I bet that is the D color. It seems whiter/icier I say go with the D color - you can't get any better than D!

Thanks so much!! You want to hear something funny? I was at ERD a few years ago and he couldn't believe I was so color sensitive, so he took out a bunch of diamonds and laid them on the table in different order, do you know I actually told him each color???
(Because I was adamant about getting a D diamond).

Go with the D!!

WOW - you have very sensitive eyes.
Did you know that each of our eyes sees color differently? One eye sees things cooler that the other eye, but it's very subtle.
Next time I buy a diamond, I'm going to post a photo and ask you to look at it! : )
