Does anyone have any pictures of something like this? I can''t find anything like it online. I was thinking a cut cornered square with some pear side stones. If the center stone was 1.5-1.8 carats how large should the sides be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

This was just posted recently, and to my knowledge, is the only one with this combo that I know of on here.

There is also this thread (square emerald with pear sides), but there is only one picture... but it can give you an idea.

These aren''t quite pears--they''re callas--but I think they might give you the same kind of effect, maybe?

(I''ve recently discovered the calla cut because of this ring, in case it catches your fancy: http://store.jrdunn.com/DSProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=nl00r11035611pjrd&ItemType=M)

I have a squarish radiant with pear sapphire side stones. My radiant is just over a carat, and the sapphires are around 0.25 carats each. For a 1.5 carat center, I would go no larger than 0.5 carats each for the pear sidestones so it looks in proportion.

My ring was pictured above. My center stone is 1.55 carats and the small pears in the setting are only .20 carats are so. There are small round brillants in the setting as well (that picture doesn''t show them at all), so it was by no means meant to be a 3-stone ring. The pears and round brilliants are all bezel set and it just makes for a nice art deco setting.

A good friend of mine has a 1.6 carat RB with .5 carat pear sides and it looks very nice. If I were to put .5 pears next to my step cut, though, they would completley outshine the center stone.

Did you just want pears in the setting or are you looking for a 3-stone ring?

You know ... when about 10 years ago there was this De Beers add with this STUNNING ring that had a princess with pear sides. And I fell, I kid you not, head over heels in love with that ring.

It''s a lovely combination. I''ll see if I can find a pic. The setting was a low three stone. Similar to Leon Mage''s style of settting. BTW... if this is the look you are going for, I highly suggest you get a setting qoute from Leon. And he''ll source the stones for you and tell you what size he thinks would look best.

this one is well... not nicely set.

But I think that this would look fabulous with a FLANDERS cut diamond. Or an X factor.

The wealth of info on this website is amazing! Thanks everyone, your help is greatly appreciated!
