I''m upgrading my ering to an 1.32 J, IF oval and need your help with the setting. I''ve got 3 choices:

http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/settings-with-sidestones/22mm-054ctw-Common-Prong-Ring.html

http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/pave/ring/item_412-3713.asp

(sorry but can''t change these into links- will someone be able to help, thanks)

I have a shared prong eternity ring from Signed Pieces that the e ring will sit next to...would love to hear your opnions on the best looking setting with an oval J...

Another question, do you think that the J stone (with a little warmth) will look odd next to F-G diamonds in the band and the eternity ring.

Thanks for all your help.

I like the first option the best.

Thanks Swingirl..

Anyone have any opinions on whether a J stone will look odd next to F-G pave/shared prong diamonds?

I think two things. One, I''d want to know the size of the stones in the eternity ring. I''d also want to know the height off the finger of the eternity ring so you can be SURE that the height of the prongs on the e-ring will be high enough to not have the eternity ring diamonds hit your e-ring prongs and scratch them. For this reason, it is a LOT easier to buy the e-ring first and then try on eternity rings with it. You can do it this way, but be careful. Do you want the two rings to look matched (as in have the stones on the bands be the same size)?

ditto...

I would probably go with #1 but you do want to make sure that they sit well together. It would be nice if
the diamonds in both rings were approximately the same size. The other 2 bands are also very nice but I would
pick whichever looked best with my wedding band.
