Hi everyone,

I’m on a time frame and have to choose which diamond today! Is there any difference between these two idealscope images or is it splitting hairs? First ones a TIC and second ones a FIC

TIC

FIC

Which one is closer to looking like a super ideal cut Diamond?

Anyone?

Can you post the depth and table percentage and the crown and pavilion angles for each stone? (Color, clarity and size, are nice to know, as well)

The scope pictures for both look pretty nice. The top one has fatter arrows. The bottom one may have a slight area of leakage at around 7:00.

Armed with more info, you will likely get better responses.

They’re both nice. It’s a matter of personal preference.

I usually gravitate towards well-cut diamonds that have thicker arrows due to shorter LGFs, but my eyes are drawn slightly more to diamond #2.

All in all, I don't think there's a wrong choice here. Both look great.
If you can't decide, then maybe flip a coin: best two out of three?

I think both look pretty good too. Since you have both stones there and can look at them side-by-side in different lighting you
are really the best judge of which stone seems to be showing more brilliance, fire, and light return.

My eyes are drawn to the first one due to the first video. It seems to be putting more fire out but it all could be due to how
you were aligning that stone to catch the fire (and not the second stone). Basically why I'm saying you are the best judge.

I’d pick the first one, but that’s just my preference. I also like thicker arrows.

Agree with this! Both look nice and best to compare them side-by-side in as many lighting environments as possible to see how they perform and which appeals to you the most.

From the videos, I like the fire of the stone 1 in the first video probably because of the bolder flashes from the thicker arrows. The arrows of stone 2 look more defined and cleaner to my eyes and so more beautiful in the last video.

Thank you everyone!! I have taken your advice and I have tried the diamonds in different lighting environments and I’m drawn more to diamond #1! They did look pretty similar so I don’t think there is much difference between them at all. So I think either diamond would have been a good option but I will go with my gut which says diamond 1!
