Christmas Eve I was eating a bowl of oyster bisque at my MIL and I bit into an oyster and found a pearl. It''s about 3/16" dia. but not perfectly round. It is just white in color. no "pearlessence" could that be from simmering in milk for several hrs? I put it in a piece of soft cotton and rubbed it (the pearl)
a little bit and it did take on a slight shine. any one know of the proper way to polish it?
