Does the diamond have a grading report (certificate)? From which lab? This is important to know to see how strict the grades are. If it is EGL check whether it is EGL-USA.

Similar GIA graded diamonds are listed in the web for about $4,500.

Have you seen it in person? I know they say J is colorless - but you can see the yellow in it so unless you like that I'd search for one with flourescence so it appears whiter.
Just my unwanted 2 cents.
(my gf just got studs and they're definately j or k and it's quite noticeable and she told her husband he's not allowed to buy her anymore diamonds without me being there. - I took it as a compliment).

Try running a price comparison search here on Pricescope...go to the homepage, put in the diamond specs similar to yours and run a search. You will find many many diamonds most likely, and with those many diamonds will come a very large price range most of the time. I'd take an average $$ or similar...but it really depends on the cut of the stone.
