Hello everyone,

Can I please bother you for some comments on the following BGD Select stones for the BGD Rose Gold:

http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/engagement-rings/three-stone-trellis-18k-rose-gold-5376r18

Centre stone :

http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/d...ls/1.266-j-si1-round-diamond-ags-104064814010

Side stones $2029:

Also, I understand that the Select range is the absolute top of their collection and is guaranteed blinding brightness, however, will there be very much difference if I choose from their "Select" range which seems to all have Excellent grading? I'd be able to afford a larger stone for the center and even though it's not as well cut, can it still be a beautiful stone?

How about any of the following?

It's getting so vey hard and very confusing trying to sift through all the available information. I would really appreciate all the help I can get.

Thank you all.

Re: Help Please: Stones for a Rose Gold 3 Stone Trellis Sett

I am not a diamond expert, so I'm not going to comment on the exact diamonds you've posted. But, have you asked whoever you are working with at BGD for their opinions about size and color? It seems that if you move to a 1.7ct stone that the .46 side stones may be small in comparison and you may need to increase the size of those as well. Also, when you move into the J, K, L range the tint is going to vary. I have a J colored diamond in a rose gold halo and I see quite a bit of yellow, but I am very color sensitive. I would have preferred either a warm ivory or light brown tint for rose gold. I've noticed many "K' colored diamonds seem to have the color I like with rose gold- but even Ks will vary. I'd ask Leslie for some pictures comparing the tints of the ones you're interested in and also ask her to put rose gold next to them and see how it affects the diamond color.

Thank you so much pinkjewel. I'm in touch with Jamie from BGD and I have asked him for some pictures as you suggested.

I'm having a great internal debate about quality vs quantity ... whether half a carat of extra weight is worth compromising on the cut. It makes it harder that I haven't really seen any Hearts and Arrows here in Sydney for comparison.
