thanks for the great info. So would you guys suggest I buy it? Is a really thick girdle noticeable when the diamond is set? I hadn't even looked at the diamond's helium report until stonecold mentioned it and it does look weird....particularly the really thick side that slopes down??? Also, I can't figure out how to view the gem advisor if somebody can tell me how it looks on that I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Have you downloaded to program to view the .gem file? Just play with it, press the buttons, change the lighting and make an animation with it.

The girdle wonkiness is at the corner, it will be hidden when mounted and since GOG is setting it, they will know to be careful notch the prongs correctly for the corner.

Please note that any local jeweler that is competent will take responsibility for your stone during setting. If they have a policy that they're not responsible for damage then do NOT let them set your stone. Nearly every reputable company I know of, that does quality stone setting, takes responsibility for every stone they set unless the customer is making an unusual request that is risky....such as bezel setting an Apatite. PLEASE disclose any treatments your stone may have.....that they may not take responsibility for. I wish you all the best!

got the .98 and it is BEAUTIFUL! Seems kinda small to me but hopefully it will look bigger on my girlfriend's hand. I'm already thinking about letting my girlfriend upgrade to a 1.3ct or so in a couple years.

You know how some settings have holes in the setting where the bottom of the diamond is? Does that help the diamond look better/brighter because it is open behind the diamond instead of metal?

My girlfriend knows of this website so no pics will be posted until after I propose.

Not much increase in light return as most of the light return are light coming in from the top of the crown, as viewed from the ASET and IS.
