Hi .. a friend of mine has gave me some antique and vintage jewellery .. mostly gold and silver .. I have managed to identify most via hallmarks etc .. but this piece has me beat .. it belonged to her grandmother (my friend is in her 60s) so I’m guessing this is early turn on the century.. I don’t have much knowledge of hat pins and can’t find a hallmark .. any help would be gratefully appreciated IMG_5497.jpegIMG_5500.jpegIMG_5496.jpeg

im sorry i cant help
but i wish hat pins would come back
this one is rather spectacular
i guess hats would would have to come back first
but its Royal Ascot in a few weeks

Great hatpin! Yes, that looks like turn of the century. I don't think it's amber. It looks like horn, or maybe celluloid.

is celluloid collectible like bakealite ?

sigh remembering how my cherry amber turned out to be bakealite
