I have a 1.70 round brilliant G color, si1 stone. I wear it with 2 similar bands one on either side of my ering . I like this look.. And I truly like my setting. The problem I've had dss since I received the diamond. I'm very grateful and it's beautiful but I feel like it gets lost on my hand. I'm tall and thin size 5 finger..I honestly think a cushion cut may have suited my tastes more. I emailed my jeweler to see about upgrading because cushions are so much cheaper and she said no way ! Your stone is worth so much more than a cushion you'll lose money .

The thing is upgrading my rb says 2.2 is pretty much $$..and I honestly like the cushion setting better. Now, she said let's just switch the setting to a cushion halo. She'll reuse some of my metal and diamonds and it would be less than 1k. I'm open to whatever, but I'm not a huge fan of halos, I tried a few round ones on and they really took away from the diamond.

The only one I really liked was the Harry Winston inspired halo (Maytal Hannah) does one and she quoted me $3500, which isn't bad, but I think if rather use that money on a diamond...

Please help!

Just a suggestion... have you tried your ring with a smaller diamond band?

I say this because I have a 2.0 ct. on a thin pave' band. Previously I had a 1.3 ct. in a cushion halo so Finger Coverage was pretty close. I was wearing two bands and sometimes four with the halo. After I upgraded I found that my ring really looks best (and bigger) if I wear only my thin diamond band (and I've ordered a very small spacer).

Your ring is beautiful... this is just a suggestion to try before you spend a lot on an upgrade or a reset. Less sometimes is more.

When I showed everyone my options and asked which looked better.. pretty much everyone liked just one band.

I agree with a thinner band, I would try your ER with one single thinner band.

I agree with Mayk.

Your rings are beautiful, that is a great size stone on your finger but it does seem like it's getting a bit 'lost' with the other bands.

That being said, if you're determined to either change the setting or the stone, I would change the stone. You love your setting, I'm not sure going to a halo is a good idea, especially in the long-term. Getting a halo wouldn't really satisfy me, knowing that the halo just created the illusion of larger stone.

Try a plain band too!

Thank you so much for the responses. I took a picture with my thinner 2 mm eternity band (it really needs to be cleaned) ..do you think that looks better ?? To me, it looks smaller, but maybe I'm just used to looking at all the bands.

I was also thinking of maybe putting it in a really thin knife edge band..
and maybe stacking with a thin rose glad band. Maybe all the diamonds on the bands are too much ??

I do think it makes it look larger with one or smaller. The second picture is more appealing just because to me the diamonds are bright on both bands. You should for sure go try different combinations. Take pictures so you can look back to help decide.

its perfect don't get a different cut ...The other cuts will look smaller on your finger. I think it looks gorgous....

Thank you! I just like the length of an elongated cushion.

This is the design Maytal Hannah sent me, which I like, but when I showed my jeweler she said those diamonds are teeny tiny.. I don't think your going to be happy.. Thoughts?

I had very similar.... I loved my halo... but I wanted a solitaire... too bad I couldn't have both

I would recommend a thinner band with that setting...

That halo ring has got me all hot and bothered.

Wow! Your halo was gorgeous too! Was that custom?

Yes. It was. Sareen Jewelry

I would wear it with a thinner band as well.
I bought the matching Vatche band for my RHR just in case I decide to switch it to my left hand in the future.
