I am set to purchase a pear loose stone for my impatient future fiance to make into an engagement ring. Below are three stones I am looking at - she is not too picky so trying to find the best value for the $$$$. Would like a slight to moderate yellow color with a VS1 minimum clarity (unless the experts here think its better to go down to VS2 or up to VVS2 minimum).

Israel Diamond Supply - search Diamond Stock # here http://www.israeldiamond.com/loose-diamond-search

Anyways, I welcome any and all feedback from you guys as I am pretty ignorant to this. I can help with any finance related questions in return!

We can't tell you anything from the lab reports with fancies. Fancies are all about images and performance. You need to work with a vendor that provides images of their diamonds and, preferrably, ASET images as well.

When you say slight to moderate yellow color....what are you looking for exactly? If she wants yellow, I don’t think a J is going to work. But if you’re trying to say you’re not looking for a colorless stone, then that’s fine.

Layla is right- you will need a vendor that will give you more info than just the lab reports.

Do you know what she would like her engagement ring to look like? Does she want a yellow diamond? An ivory color? What shape does she want? Clarity is really not that important as long as the diamond is eye-clean and there is no obstruction due to clarity.

What is your budget and are you in the U.S.? As others have said, we can’t really tell you anything above your above posted diamonds, but we can help you find something great within budget!
