Hi guys,

I have been following for a few weeks, and countless hours this forum and others in order to understand as much as I could before buying an engagement ring to propose next october.

After long consideration, and despite the fact that I could have gotten a similar result for a lower price, I have decided to buy my girlfriend a tiffany setting ring from T&Co. So please this is out of the question.

I am lucky that she is very petite, 170cm tall and quite skinny, and her finger size is 4!
This said I wanted to stay in a range between 0.70-0.85 not more. Budget max 9k $.

I currently have the following 3 options:

I am truly undecided on which one to pick, I have read and read and read and the result is that now I am more confused than ever.
The main doubt is about size, I think that 0.86 is a bit much for a size 4 finger (especially in Europe). Even if the tiffany staff suggested the 0.86 as the most value (cost/size).

So if would love to have some of your expert opinions on this delicate and wonderful matter. Thanks! :twirl:

Attached a picture

It doesnt really show well. The .86 is on the left and the .81 is on the right.

Why is the price so high for under a ct?? Is it genuine Tiffany?

Yes, sorry I didn't write it correctly in the original post

Of course the staff would nudge you towards the more expensive one...

I think the .81 is the way to go. You're not going to notice 0.07mm difference unless you have them side-by-side and look at them really closely. In day-to-day wear, there's no practical difference.

If you saw them both in person, which did you think was better cut?

Hi GoSounders, Thanks for your answer.

I thought they where both quite nice, but that the 0.86 would have been big on a size 4 finger. What do you think about the size?
Also, the 0.86 scores a bit better in the HCA tool compared to the 0.81. And the 0.72 is the best on the HCA.

I would choose the higher color .72

What would you say about the size given the size 4 of the finger?
I have looked at some picture and the chart coverage but I am still undecided

Thanks

My friend wears a .70 on a size 5 finger and everyone thinks its at least a ct. And hers is a princess cut which faces up smaller.

This is a .64ct square hearts and arrows at 4.89mm x 4.91mm on a size 5.25. I think you are def. fine on size, esp. for Europe! I too, would go for the .72 to get the F color.

Edit-I think my pinky is a about a four if that helps.

Very nice picture and ring!

The size thing is a big issue for me. It is really rare to see girls with large stones, that's why of the 3 diamonds the 0.86 is probably too big.
Now its a question of 0.72 vs 0.81, but looking at your picture I think the first would be more than fine!
