Assuming that a ring cannot (or should not) be resized, how much is it possible to reduce the size of a ring with sizing beads or sizing bars placed inside the band?

Is it possible make a size 6.5 ring fit like a 6 or 5.75? Or would this be impossible and be too much size difference for beads/balls/bars to make up?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Yup, sizing beads are the bees knees IMO

. I have an antique ring that was unsizeable and was so big it fell off easily- I think it was nearly a size 7 and I wear a 4.75 or 5. I had some big sizing beads put in and it's still a little loose- probably fits like a 5.5- but it does help a *lot*. (You can't really measure a ring's size with the beads on it- it measures as a 4 with the beads, but that'd be really tight on me if it really was one.) The beads do keep it from spinning most of the time, even if it feels loose-ish. I love them! They really give the ring a broader range of sizes it fits- room for my finger to swell up on hot days and not feel tight ever, but unless I'm really cold it doesn't spin much, and it's pretty top heavy.
