I'm currently in the process of resetting my e-ring into a double halo. I have a 1.3 ct round brilliant in a standard halo right now.
Here is the original ring that I wanted copied and made for my stone. This was in the case at my jewelry store.

I went today to bring my stone in to be set in the ring and this is what I saw. It's totally not like how I wanted. There is a gap in between the halos and just "too much halo" in my opinion. The ring also looks too flat. The jeweler saw that in the original the inner halo is higher than the outer halo, so he suggested raising the inner halo and lining the outside of it with some metal. Do you think this will give me the intended look?
I'm afraid that the ring will not turn out the way I planned it and am very scared! I'm paying a lot of money for this reset and expect it to be exactly as we discussed. What i loved about the original is that it flows seamlessly from stone to halos. The ring I saw today doesn't do that. What should I tell the jeweler when I call tomorrow?
