IMG_1214.PNG IMG_1217.JPG IMG_1218.PNG IMG_1219.JPG Hi... first time posting I'm a lurker I recently had an upgrade to my engagement ring. I have a 3 carat solitaire with tapered baguettes in platinum. My old band actually looks good with it ( 1.04 carat 5 stone bar set in 14 k ) I will be replacing this with either a platinum eternity band or I was thinking a 1.5 carat 5 stone. I need help deciding PLEASE...I'm attaching pics of my ring with the eternity band and with my old 5 stone band for reference. What looks better? Does anyone think the eternity looks weird with it? If I did get a new 5 stone it wouldn't have bars and would have 30 pointers. Thanks in advance everyone

I voted for eternity. I have a 9-stone (small) ring and I'm constantly realigning it. It drives me a little batty. I love the look of an eternity, but love the comfort of a non-eternity. I'm basing my vote based on looks though ;)

Welcome to Pricescope! Your upgraded e-ring is gorgeous, congratulations! Of the two bands you show I prefer the eternity. I feel the 5-stone diamonds are a bit too large and competes with your e-ring. I think smaller diamonds will look the best. :wavey:

You already have a 5 stone ring and I do like the look of an eternity band. I might go with a slightly smaller one just so it doesn't compete as much with your beautiful ring. But the end size will be your preference.

I would go with a 5 stone but with smaller diamonds that reached from one end where your baguettes start and go to the other end. Not sure what
size that would be but probably a lot smaller than 30. Maybe more like 15 pointers??? Just guessing. I dont think you should over power your ering.

:confused:Thanks everyone! I'm leaning towards the eternity band also. I just have to go used to it I suppose- because it " doesn't line up" like my old band. The eternity band is a 2.85 tcw. You guys think it's too big?

They're 15 pointers in the eternity band shown

Thanks so much! So the eternity band size you think is good but just in a 5 stone?

Between the two pictures, I like the look of the eternity ring better. However, this is probably because the stones are smaller and there are no bars between them. I have a five stone RHR and I don't have problems with it spinning. I think it is because the five stones five on the top of my finger and are 'balanced' between the middle and pinkie finger. My vote then would be a five stone with smaller stones than your current one or the eternity if you don't mind the 'feel' of it. It probably won't wear quite as comfortably as a five stone but there is something really decadent about an eternity ring!

:dance:I'm actually really liking the eternity band. It's been growing on me as I've been wearing it all day. Thanks so much for your input! I'm so glad this kind of forum exists. I know with everything going on in the world it's nice to escape thinking about diamonds!
