Help!! Need a setting for 2.70ct

Hi PSers

I really need some help trying to decide on a setting for my princess cut 2.70ct. I am after maximum finger coverage and bling

I have always wanted a halo but at the same time I have been looking at some princess cuts with small proportioned trapeziod side stones. I want the main diamond to really stand out and the other two just to provide finger coverage and bling. I am not sure I am going to achieve what I am after doing a 3 stone as I really don't want it to look like all one diamond in a row if that makes sense..... So I'm guessing I would need the centre stone set slightly higher and the trapz a very small proportion??

Or do I go with a plain solitaire and wait for DSS to sink in...

A 2.70 ct. stone on a size 3.25 finger has to provide pretty amazing coverage all by itself! My suggestion is to go look at some settings and try them on. See what you like and don't like. One way to set the center stone apart from the side stones might be to bezel all three. This may be way too much for you, but I think that the center stone still shines. Scroll thru the thread to see what the ring looked like before. It's a pretty dramatic transformation.

You could certainly do a more delicate halo around the stones if you chose to....

Yenny is right, 2.70 ct on a tiny 3.25 sized finger would be give very nice finger coverage! But to maximize, it does sound like you are heading in the right direction with a halo or 3 stone. I would LOVE to give you some examples of settings but not sure which look u like... you like clean lines? Vintage, bezel or prong set?

Here are some different examples I found... I personally like the delicate cuhioned shaped halo. The trap sidestines probably would beed to be pretty small in order to kepp the princess as the main attraction... maybe pear or tapered baguettes couldbe better? I also found an example if the pricess and traps that could look nice!

Which sort of look are you preferring?

If I remember correctly it was NiceIce's ring who co-signed it to JbEG and then one of the ladies of JbEG actually bought it. It was orginally made my leon.

EDIT- or it might be vice versa. It was Erica or Grace's ring and is now NI's.
