HELP! Mr. Indecisive just put a diamond on hold! What do you think?

Just put a hold on this diamond. Anyone care to comment? I decided to move up in size/color at the expense of the setting (for now, I'll let her choose a new setting later if she wants). I was going to go for two pear sidestones but it would have been $1600 more than a simple six prong Tiffany style solitaire from WF and I wasn't 100% sure she would love it, so I decided to put that extra $ into the diamond.

Yeah I backed out on the pear sidestone setting. I love the look of it and I THINK she'd love it but I am not SURE she'd love it so I just couldn't justify going for a smaller diamond to make it work.

I will be mentioning the pear sidestone setting to her when I bring up having it re-set. I will also be sending her to this site to take a look at all the beautiful settings, and I'll make sure she sees yours!

Thank you all so much for your help. This site is amazing. I went to a mall store when I first started looking and they tried to sell me a poorly cut 1.0 ct. SI2, (didn't even mention color but I would guess I based on what I know now) diamond with a plain white gold 4 prong setting for more than I am paying for this ring (got to love the PS discount too)!

Looks like a nice stone. Glad to hear that you put the money in the stone rather than sides stones or mountings for now. That can always be done later; buying the most stone for your dollar is the way to go IMO!
