Hello from a long time pricescope lurker from Australia!
I turned 27 today and am going to buy myself a special self birthday gift for surviving a few painful years and coming out doing a bit better now and wanting to celebrate.
I'm going to buy myself a simple rose gold diamond pendant for everyday wear and reallly need help especially in suggestions for a diamond and vendor who may give me the most bang for my buck but also fulfill my needs.
My total budget for the pendant setting and diamond is $4000 AU dollars which equates to roughly $3000 US but I'm willing to be flexible for the right diamond/piece.
I was at first set on a Tiffanys DBTY solitaire diamond pendant but after trying it on in store up to a size .38, I realised how tiny the diamonds were and that there are better options to be found from many of the Pricescope vendors for my desires.
I would like a rose gold pendant and have considered the Brian Gavin RG Tiffany DBTY style fixed bezel pendant or the RG BG Barbara with either a milgrain or smooth bezel however the settings themself seem that they would take up a significant portion of the total budget leaving less for the diamond. I leaned towards Brian Gavin because of his offerings in rose gold and the fineness of his bezel work. I do prefer a barely there bezel and delicate chain.

I have been doing my research on the four C's, diamonds and hearts, fire and brimstones etc (
) but I still find myself lacking in diamond deciphering abilities. I want a lovely diamond of a good size within budget that will sparkle brilliantly and remind me to try to do the same. I realise I can upgrade to a bigger stone later.
Please offer suggestions on the best for my $3000 US budget diamonds and/or pendant settings and vendor options?
Thank you with all of my hearts and arrows.
