Help me source a stone

Hello everyone!
Not new to the forum, but I seldom post. Mostly lurk.

DH says he would like to get me a color change garnet for Christmas (love him!!!) , but I don't know where to source a nice one. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I bought this stone from Gene at Precision Gem.

Beautiful in incandescent light, but I have no idea what it looks like in sunlight (Darn getting home so late from work!). I'll have to check tomorrow.

Color Change Garnet - 3.14 ct. This is a nice color change garnet from Kenya. The stone is cut in a diamond checker crown that is an oval which will fit into a 4 prong round mounting. The color changes from a red/purple to a purple/blue color. The photo here is shot with Solux bulbs that are a halogen bulb that is a warm daylight color balance, so the color is about the half way point for it's change, going more red in incandescent light, and more purple/blue in daylight. Priced at only $300 per ct. this stone measures 11.4 x 9.2 mm and is loop clean.

That was the easiest suggestion/purchase ever. I am sincerely glad that Treenbean steered you to a REALLY GREAT stone!

CC Garnets rarely have such a nice pair of colors, usually one is kind of bleah, but I think both colors on this one are really nice!

I think it's a great size, with a nice presence, and Gene's stones are always excellent.
