HELP ME! SOS! Need Diamond

Hi,

I don't know what I am doing so would appreciate some guidance here...after days of reading my understanding came down to this gem:

How does this stone fair? I followed the suggestions from here:

and by the looks of it - the table and depth are within scope - the size looks good - however I am not sure if si2 and colour " I " are a concern

I will really appreciate some guidance here. I am planning to propose her in 4 weeks - so need to have all this sorted out before then

si2 means you may have inclusions that you see when you look at it up close ( even without a loupe if you are looking close enough)
the diamond pictured in the listing is not the actual one and you will WANT to see the actual stone you are buying.

I know I would never buy a si2 sight unseen.

If you post your budget, requirements/desires with regards to the 4Cs (cut, colour, clarity, carat (size)), and examples of the ring style you are looking for, others may be able to find you better stones.

Set up an alert so you know when someone has posted, that way you can jump on a stone as soon as it is suggested - 'lurkers' sometimes snap up recommended stones before the original thread starter sees the updated thread.

However, this tool is used to eliminate stones...
SO, that being said, I'm on board with the rest: you MUST actually SEE this diamond in person. You also must see an IS image, ASET, and H & A Scope (if there is one).
I have an SI2 clarity diamond, BUT, my DH & I were able to examine it up close & personal. She's beautifully eye clean, and appears to fit in the VS-VVS clarity range.
Inclusions aren't a deal breaker, depending on their location, and their nature. Clear inclusions are not easily seen, and usually have no impact on the performance of a diamond; others, such as dark carbon inclusions can distract, even refract, from the performance of a diamond. You need to see your diamond, before you purchase....

The GIA certificate states that the clarity grade is based on clouds not shown. This is a major concern for me.

SI2 is an issue without images (or even better, seeing it in person). I do not recommend that stone because the clarity is based on Clouds not shown
which means the clouds are affecting the light return/brilliance of the stone.

Try to stick with SI1 and stones that have images. The crown on this stone is a little low. Most PSers prefer a higher crown (34-35). We can help you
fine a stone if you need help.

Will any other shape work, like ovals? They can face-up big for their weight. Does the intended recipient like antiques or vintage?
