Hi everyone,

I''m a very longtime lurker and finally decided to post. I have learned so much on this site and I''m boring everyone around me with all my diamond knowledge. I started several months ago looking for a 10 year anniversary gift. I was originally going to get a 5 stone ring but my husband said I could upgrade my engagement ring. In the time I''ve been trying to make a decision my mom decided to upgrade her ring, picked a diamond, had it set, ordered a scattered band from Whiteflash, and has been wearing it for well over a month. I STILL can''t make a decision.

I am so indecisive and want to be 100% sure I get what I want because this won''t happen again for a long time. I have finally purchased a 2.01 carat cushion cut F SI2 stone from a local jeweler. It''s more oblong than square. I''d post pix, but we have only put a deposit on it and will get it by the end of this year.

I need ideas for settings. My current ring is a .68 RB set in a Dev Valencia antique look octagonal halo. My wedding band is curved to fit next to my e-ring and both have pave bands. I will keep it and wear the e-ring as a right hand ring.

So, for my new ring I am having a really hard time deciding what to get. I don''t want a halo or pave because I want the new ring to have a totally different look. I of course love Leon''s cushion settings, but don''t think it''s in my budget. If anyone can post pics of cushions you own or just like I''d appreciate it. I am leaning toward something with side diamonds (maybe half moons). Thanks!

Hi mom, how exciting! Can''t wait to see what you end up with. And welcome to PS!

This is loverly for an idea....

I really like what ellen posted it has such a different look!

Ditto Ellen''s post. That is my hands-down favorite Leon cushion multi stone (non-halo, non-pave, non-solitaire, that is). It''s so beautifully proportioned and I love the combination of the different cuts that allow you to appreciate each stone within the setting as well as the combination of all 5.

That setting gets me every time.

Thanks ladies. That Leon ring was already in a stack of favorites I''ve printed out. I''m definitely leaning toward the half moons and I like the other stones on this ring also (are they bullets?). I think I HAVE to have claw prongs. They just seem made for cushions. Thanks again!

yowza!! the ring ellen posted is gorgeous!!! can''t wait to see what you decide!

The ring Ellen posted is breathtaking. I''ve e-stalked it many a time! Your stone sounds lovely, and what an ideal size for a cushion! I think a three stone is definitely the way to go. I''ll post some other side stone options.

Here''s one with bullets, but its a fatter cushion.

I''m kind of obsessed with bezels lately, and I think this looks pretty with the half moons, would you consider it?

Another with traps, the stone is about 3/4 smaller than your own. But the proportions looks alright.

These look like bullet sidestones, but very thin and not tapered.
